Our Founder David Hollinger’s love of produce started at eight years old, when he grew and sold his first garden crop at his parents’ farmers market. David’s interest in growing, supplying, and transporting produce grew as he regularly traveled with his father to the Philadelphia Produce Market, regional auctions, and orchards to buy produce for the Hollinger Family farmers market.
In 1976, Four Seasons Produce, Inc. came to life as a produce wholesaler, when David Hollinger purchased a 5,000 square foot building. With 15 employees, he launched a new business serving restaurants, farmers markets, and grocery stores. In the past 44 years, the Four Seasons Family of Companies has grown to employ over 800 team members, with a sourcing and distribution footprint that encompasses multiple countries across both hemispheres. Staying true to our roots, we continue to ensure the sustainability of grower-families and independent retailers.
